The Truth About PCOS & A Lot More
Happy New Year! In the spirit of newness, we’re bringing you something special ~ an inside look at what our founder, Hannah Bowers, has been reading and enjoying lately. Give this guide a like and share it with a friend!
Hey Friends,
How is 2023 going so far for you? Did you set any goals for yourself or make any intentions for the new year? Some of my goals for the year include…
Get organized ~ go through all of the random stuff that has somehow made its way into the back of my closets and help it find a home. I may or may not be ordering a bunch of organizing bins off Amazon.
Rekindle hobbies ~ trying to cultivate relaxation through various hobbies, which has been on the back burner for a while. To kick of the year, I bought myself a pair of figure skates and plan to carve out some time to skate on a regular basis. (I’m terrible, but that’s not the point…)
But you didn’t come here to hear me dish on my 2023 plans! Per the usual, I’ve been diving into all sorts of fun and interesting things that I want to share with you.
Let’s get into the goodies that I want to share with you!
Podcasts have been my jam lately. I love turning them on while I’m doing housework or driving…
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the most eloquent and informative podcast on PCOS that I’ve listened to in a while. She takes PCOS to a degree that even most of my fave PCOS experts don’t. I highly recommend taking the time to listen. It will change how you view treating the condition.
Of course, I have to give our show a shout out! I love sitting down with each guest and talking about an area of passion. This episode, we dive into all things pre-pregnancy wellness testing with Poplin founder Alexandra DeVito. It’s a must listen-to episode. Find and subscribe wherever you listen to your podcasts.
NAC and PCOS from Root Functional Medicine - I’ve been hot on the NAC train since we published the guide on NAC a while back. This is one of the more straightforward (and less scientific) articles I read on the topic.
Functional Maternity by Sarah Thompson - Why am I sharing a maternity book in a fertility guide? Sarah starts the conversation talking about preconception and why proper pre-pregnancy preparations matter. This book is on the technical side, but a really beneficial read. Highly recommend.
Instant Pot Butter Chicken from Little Sunny Kitchen - (Paleo-friendly, Keto-friendly) I’m in love with this recipe. It’s a good thing my family is all about it, too, because I’m making it once a week. If you like Indian food, this is an amazing addition to your fertility-friendly routine. The protein-rich recipe offers an array of anti-inflammatory spices - including Turmeric and Ginger - and finished with cream (or in my case, Coconut cream). Add cauliflower rice to finish it off.
